OurPet's Shows It's Serious About Poop By Investing in 140 Million-Year Old Dinosaur Droppings
May 2008-- OurPet's Company (OTC BB) "Poop," According to Dr. Steve Tsengas, president and CEO of OurPet's, "is big business." He was the winning bidder of an auction for a pair of prehistoric dinosaur droppings. Tsengas's shrewd marketing move has created worldwide media attention for OurPets, which sells products to manage dog and cat waste.
The specimens probably date back more than 140 million years, said Thomas Lindgren, consulting director of natural history for Bonhams auction house in New York City. He guessed that a sauropod, or plant eater, deposited the nuggets found in Utah.
